Hip peas CSA

We collaborate with the Tap House and many other organizations to further our mission to increase healthy local food access.

Our Hip Peas CSA is a weekly food delivery program. Every week we deliver farm-fresh, seasonal vegetables, plus locally grown or made products to the Tap House Grille in Hooksett for member pick up.

Fresh vegetables cleaned, packed, and delivered to Tap House Grille ready for member pick-up on Wednesdays or Thursdays; 3pm - 6pm.

When you become a Hip Peas CSA member, we’ll bring you the highest quality and most delicious local food around. Hip Peas Farm vegetables to locally, produced eggs, breads, and more. Your weekly share is convenient and flexible way to eat well all summer long.

Our Hip Peas CSA season runs from June to October for a total of 20 weeks. Community Support Agriculture (CSA) members purchasing a full share will receive an average market value of $34.00 per week.

Custom bags will be distributed at first pick up. (no cost to CSA members)

2022 CSA Limited Membership Full share: $650

Full share too much?  Partner with a neighbor. We think odd/even weeks would work.

If you are interested in sharing with a partner and do not have a partner, we will marry you up with someone. Please send an email to info@hippeasfarm.com and express your interest in partnering up with someone.  We can help to make this happen for you.

Please note that as a small farm, we do not provide bulk storage crops like potatoes or corn.

WHY JOIN?

It’s Convenient: Farm fresh food is available for pick up at Tap House Grille, which is a convenient site near you! Just grab your bag and go!

It’s Healthy: There’s nothing like having a batch of fresh veggies delivered every week to encourage you to cook healthy meals that are packed with fresh flavors and loads of vitamins. Many of our customers enjoy the challenge of using new vegetables and learning new recipes. Eating on a local level puts you in tune to your environment and the seasons!

It’s Affordable: Our weekly shares save our members an average of 28% per week over retail. We plan our shares to include a set of valued items that meets your contribution.

It’s Good for the Environment: Our produce is good for the environment because we use no chemical fertilizers or pesticides, and fossil fuels are not wasted on long distance transportation.

It Supports Farmers: Receiving your money and commitment up front helps us pay our bills, plan, and farm better.

It Builds Community: Supporting a local farmer puts a face on the food you eat. A CSA is a great way to get to know a local farmer and your local neighbors. It is a great way to get more involved in community activities. Participation keeps your dollars local, nurturing the health of the community and the environment we live in.

    Shared by past CSA Members:

We just loved the opportunity to share our CSA membership with someone else who wanted to join but is single and not able to handle all of the fresh vegetables. We picked up our CSA on alternating weeks. There was plenty of produce for us to share with friends and family too! MC 10/14/2021

Why I loved my 2020 Hip Peas Farm CSA:

The freshness of vegetables just picked amazed me. Who would’ve known lettuce lasts 2+ weeks when you get it fresh from the ground. I learned there are so many varieties of lettuce greens with different flavors, colors, and textures. My summer salads were nutritious and delicious.

Those beets were not what I remembered from my childhood, they were picked young, came in a variety of colors, each with their own unique sweetness. I roasted them and put them in salads, had them as side dishes, added them to stews, and I still have a few in my freezer. I am now a fan of beets!

I loved knowing where and how my food got to my table. In such a tumultuous year, I rested easy knowing at least some of my food was grown locally, organically, and with love.
